Chemistry beyond books continuation

Here's the continuation of "Chemistry Beyond Books":

---

From that rainy evening onward, Ananya and Ayush became inseparable at the coaching center. They didn't speak much in class, but their eyes often met, exchanging silent understanding. During breaks, they'd sit under the same neem tree outside, solving equations, talking about dreams, and sometimes just enjoying the silence between them.

Harsh, ever observant, noticed the bond growing between the two. Though he had a soft corner for Ananya himself, he wasn’t the kind to come in the way. One day, with a smile, he said to Ayush, “You both have more chemistry than the syllabus itself.”

Ayush blushed, but said nothing.

Months passed. The pressure of board exams loomed, but so did the quiet strength of their friendship. Ayush never confessed, and neither did Ananya. There was a certain beauty in the unspoken, a slow, steady comfort in knowing that someone was always there.

But fate, as always, had a twist.

One day, Ananya came to coaching looking unusually serious. After class, she pulled Ayush aside.

“My dad got transferred,” she said softly. “We’re moving next week. To Pune.”

The words hit Ayush harder than any surprise test.

“Oh,” he managed to say. “That’s… really sudden.”

They stood there, neither knowing what to say.

Finally, Ananya reached into her bag and handed him a small notebook. “These are all the notes we made together. I want you to keep them.”

Ayush held the notebook like it was something fragile.

Before leaving, she looked into his eyes and smiled—a sad, soft smile. “Thank you for everything, Ayush. You made this year beautiful.”

Then she turned and walked away.
